Tabuaço is also known for its delicious meat dishes. If you go there, you should try the roasted baby goat with rice, the wild boar, the arroz de cabidela, the smoked ham and sausages, accompanied with vegetables and fruit grown in the area. For dessert you can try the Bolo-rei de Tabuaço (fruit cake), the folar de azeite(a kind of bread made with olive oil) and the Easter sponge cake, the bola de carne (meat bread), the egg pudding and thealetria (vermicelli with cinnamon) The table wines produced in the region are usually part of the menu.
Another typical beverage is the Jeropiga, which is made with grapes and spirits. This alcoholic beverage is usually served in the winter time because of its sweet and warm flavour. Jeropiga is also drunk to celebrate Santa Luzia, in Sendim.
